Cravings is not your ordinary buffet.

Cravings deserves a rave review simply because of the amenities. As you enter you are greeted by a bank of 18 flat panel TVs showing some of the delicacies prepared in the buffet. A heavy use of corrugated polished stainless steel gives the place a retro-modern feel. The food was good; not the typical buffet food at all. There was a wide selection of seafood including sushi, as well as a host of other great delicacies. For you desert lovers, this is not the place to go. Their selection of desserts left me wanting more. If you go to the Saturday or Sunday Brunch (8am to 3 pm) they offer an omelet station where they cook to your order any omelet or type of eggs you like. Something else that is unique to Cravings is a full bar (drinks not included in buffet price). You can eat and drink while watching the large flat panel TVs behind the bartender. My main complaint about the set-up of Cravings has to be that it is entirely non-smoking. Also there are no signs above each food station denoting the type of food served there. I found myself passing food that I do not like, just to get to the good stuff. Another area that could be improved was the seating. It looked like it was designed like the layout of slot machines; a confusing maze of tables making it difficult to get to the food. On a whole the experience was good. The price is kind of high, but you can get your money's worth if you like seafood. |
