The Scintas

Music & Comedy with a Twist

The Scintas show at the Rio is a must see. The quartet the makes up the Scintas Frankie, Joey, Chrissie Scinta, and "adopted Scinta" Pete O'Donnell combine comedy and melody in a fashion like no other.

Frankie mentions through out the show that singers get the girls, and at the tender age of 5 he inherited a banjo from his grandfather that catapulted him into entertainment. Teaching himself to play the keyboard and other stringed instruments Frankie combines his musical talent with his powerful voice to perform realistic imitations of many famous singers like Frank Sinatra, and Louie Armstrong just to name a few.

Joey Scinta started playing bass when he was a teenager, and in the show does the most amazing impersonation of Neil Diamond. Along with Neil, Joey does a zany impression of Jerry Lewis with brother Frank's impression of Dean Martin (Dino) that will have you rolling in the isles. Those of you that are fans of The Stones, will love Joey's uncanny resemblance to Mick himself

"Little Sister" Chrissie has one of the most powerful voices on the Las Vegas Strip. Her soprano vocal style is a perfect contrast to her talented brothers, featuring songs from Journey, and some of your favorite disco tunes. Chrissie's duet with her brother Frankie will have you standing on your feet.

The "adopted Scinta" Pete O'Donnell joined the group in 1987, and is one of the most talented drummers on the Strip. His explosive power behind the drums really adds a one-two punch to the Scintas' music. Not left out of the comedy Pete lends a hand in most of the jokes on stage.

Las Vegas ³ Review

This is one of the best shows I have seen. The Scintas range has something for all ages. From old Las Vegas stars of the Rat Pack to comical tunes like, "There's a Skeeter on my Peter, whack it off". The Scintas had me in stitches.

Frankie starts off with an opening of Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, while Pete is in the background acting as John Bonham often did pounding Jack Daniels right from the bottle. Pete's time to play starts and he collapses on the drums in true rocker style. Finally raising his head wearing a drum stick in his hair (an obnoxious looking wig). The Scintas continue into one of the best impressions of the Beatles with the Scintas flare added to it.

Next time you are in Las Vegas stop into the Rio and get your tickets to the Scintas right away. It will be the most memorable 90 minutes of your vacation.
