Alter Bridge with Crossfade
at the House of Blues
If you are looking for a close intimate concert venue to see your favorite band, the House of Blues is the place you have been looking for. The floor seats were standing room only. The first level of the balcony has to be the best place to sit. Only a few feet up the sights and sounds are great. Do not by any means sit in the top level of the balcony just to get a center stage seat. There was the most horrible reverb, it made all the singing impossible to understand. There are two monitors on pillars just in front of the top level of the balcony that cause all this havoc.
Aside from that the concert was amazing!!! Crossfade puts on a great show. There blend of rock and rap was incredible. Next on stage was Alter Bridge. Having to overcome the success of Creed, Alter Bridge has definately made a name for themselves. Everyone in crowd thought they would sing at least a couple Creed songs, but they never did. After about 8 or 9 songs, they went off stage, and returned for their encore. The encore was great. The roadies came out with stools and bongos, then Alter Bridge emerged with acoustic guitars. Midway through the song the drummer hops up and continues to pound out the greatest rhythems ever played.
The close of the show was made up of Alter Bridge and some of the members of Crossfade performing and old tune from Deep Purple. Some of the older fans could really relate, bringing back memories of days gone by.
